More Than
50 Years of Packaging Performance
Double H Packaging was built on the belief that strong relationships and dependable manufacturing go hand in hand. Founded in 1974 by entrepreneur Harry Harp, whose initials inspired the Double H name, we began as a family-owned profile extrusion business built on responsive service and reliable products.
An inventive and practical thinker, Harry helped pioneer the first plastic flex straw and built a company centered on quality and resilience. That foundation grew into a full-service paperboard and plastic packaging operation spanning design, prototyping, tooling, mold-making, printing, and production. As container expectations evolved, we adapted to new formats and technologies while leading with the hands-on approach that shaped our company from the start.
The 80s oatmeal boom and the transition from traditional ice cream brick to modern two-piece formats helped build our expertise in standard and custom solutions across high-volume food categories. With the addition of in-house printing capabilities in 2012, we gained even greater control over quality, speed, and consistency throughout the production process for frozen, refrigerated, shelf-stable, and specialty food applications.
Now in our third generation, Double H Packaging continues to invest in new materials, advanced capabilities, and responsive customer support while staying grounded in our values. We approach every project with the understanding that packaging must perform reliably on production lines, protect product integrity, and represent brands well in the hands of consumers. And we’re proud to play a role in the products people reach for every day.
Packaging That Performs Beyond the Production Line
Packaging does more than hold a product. It impacts first impressions, purchasing decisions, brand recognition, and customer experiences from shelf to final use. As food categories become more crowded and visual differentiation more critical, brands face the pressure to stand out without compromising consistency or quality.
At the same time, packaging decisions have become increasingly layered. A change in material can affect branding, sustainability goals, cost structure, and product perception. New formats designed for portability or single-serve convenience can reshape how products are stored, displayed, and consumed.
We believe strong packaging should always support the integrity of the product and the identity of the brand behind it. This perspective guides our innovation, material exploration, print quality, and long-term packaging development across paperboard and plastic.
The right package reinforces loyalty long after the lid comes off.
